The right film, version and venue

Cinemas in Asunción: choose the language before the seats

Checked 16 October 2026

For a cinema visit in Asunción, choose the exact film version, venue and session before paying. Audio language and subtitles matter as much as the film title. This guide compares three venues and explains booking and transport decisions; it is not a live weekly programme or a common ticket tariff.

Save the complete session, not just the film title

  • Subtitulada means subtitled; doblada means dubbed. Check the actual audio and subtitle languages.
  • Castellano usually indicates Spanish audio in local listings; it does not identify whether a Spanish-language film is original or dubbed.
  • Choose the cinema and date before comparing times. A national listing can include another city.
  • Read the final ticket total, format, seats and promotion conditions before payment.
  • Check the return journey and building exit after a late screening.

Subtitled, dubbed or Spanish: read the session label

The official Paseo La Galería listings show separate Subtitulada and Doblada sessions. A subtitled film is not automatically in English: it may have Korean, French or another original soundtrack. Check the film information and confirm both the audio and subtitle language when it matters.

Castellano means Spanish; cartelera is the programme, función a screening, butaca a seat and preventa advance sales. A 2D or 3D label identifies format, not language. Save the venue, date, start time and version together with your ticket.

Cinemark Paseo La Galería: use the venue-specific listings

Cinemark’s venue page places it on floor 3 of Paseo La Galería, Avenida Santa Teresa near Aviadores del Chaco; the mall directory agrees. Select this cinema before reading the schedule. Cinemark’s national selector also includes Lago Shopping in Ciudad del Este, which is not an Asunción alternative.

The operator lists several room formats. Compare the exact session rather than assuming a premium label means better value for everyone. Motion seating or 3D may not suit every viewer; ask about suitability and any restrictions. Availability depends on the film and session.

Cines del Sol: confirm the programme before setting off

Shopping del Sol’s official entertainment page lists Cines del Sol at Aviadores del Chaco and Profesora Delia González. It displayed a schedule-update message when checked. That confirms the venue listing, not a screening for your date.

The Cines.com.py directory provides a discovery listing under Itaú Cinema Pop del Sol. Use it to find a possible session, then confirm the current version, time and ticket conditions with the cinema. Do not transfer Cinemark prices, seat rules or promotions to this venue.

Cine Villamorra: check the cinema entrance

Shopping Villa Morra lists its cinema. The mall’s contact address is Mariscal López 3974 at Senador Long, while the cinema map result is on the Charles de Gaulle side. Save the named cinema pin and agree on the entrance, especially for a late pickup; the mall’s general address is not a promise that every door stays open.

Cines.com.py also lists Cine Villamorra. Reconfirm its actual programme before travelling. Our Villa Morra guide gives wider neighbourhood context, but there is no need to add a shopping circuit when the film is the main plan.

Ticket price: check the final session total

There is no single ticket price for these three cinemas. Day, format, seating category, age category, special screenings and promotions can change the amount. We are not quoting an unverified common tariff: read the price attached to your actual session and check whether booking charges, 3D glasses or extras are separate.

  1. Confirm cinema, calendar date, start time and language version.
  2. Read format and age classification, including any identification or admission requirements.
  3. Check the seat plan and selected seat numbers. Nearby seats may already be unavailable.
  4. Read the final total and any bank, membership or promotion eligibility, exclusions and limits.
  5. Check cancellation/change terms and how the ticket is delivered. After buying, retain the confirmation and verify the names, date and cinema on it.

Do not assume a card issued abroad qualifies for a local bank promotion or that a ticket can be refunded. Ask the venue before paying if accessibility, companion seating or another requirement affects your choice. We made no booking or purchase for this guide.

Fit food and transport around the film

As our planning suggestion, arrive about 20–30 minutes before the advertised start, with extra time for traffic, a busy box office or a first visit. This is not an operator admission rule or a guarantee that trailers give you extra time. Arrange food before or after the film and check that the chosen place is open; mall shop hours are not cinema session times.

Check the building’s exit route after a late film and choose a permitted pickup location. Budget transport, snacks and parking separately; ask about parking validation rather than assuming it is included. The mall, transport and rainy-day guides give wider context.

Recovery follow-up, 27 October 2026: the cinema and mall information pages remain available. Session languages, screening times, formats and the final ticket total require a check of the actual dated booking. This guide does not establish today’s programme or a common tariff.
