Plans beat scrolling. Pull up a guampa.
Real Asunción hangs with the Open Asu crew.
Getting to know a city is easier when you've got people to do things with. Someone to grab dinner with, catch a show, or message when you find something worth trying.
Open Asu is a WhatsApp community for making friends and sharing experiences in Asunción. If you're new here and don't know many people yet, come along. If you know the city well and fancy some new company, you're welcome too.
Start with a bowl of ramen, a round of tereré, or whatever gets you out the door.
What are we doing?
Get something to eat
Try a lunch spot, organise a group dinner, or make a serious investigation of the dessert menu. Bring your recommendations.
Give something a go
Take a workshop, check out an exhibition, watch a match, or teach everyone a game. There's probably something on your list already.
Head out for the evening
Catch live music, meet for drinks, or go dancing. Pick a place and see who's up for it.
Keep it simple
Tereré, a few snacks, and an afternoon free. A plan doesn't need much production to be worth joining.
Ramen & Soju at Wang
Pick your noodles, get them bubbling, and grab a drink. We're heading to Wang K-store for Korean ramen, soju, and a little snack-aisle exploration.
Come hungry. Choose your spice level carefully.
You've found a few places. Now find your people.
Knowing where to get coffee is useful. Having someone to ask "Coffee later?" makes a bigger difference.
Join a plan, suggest something you'd enjoy, and give yourself a chance to become a familiar face.
You can turn up on your own. That's a perfectly good way to start.
